Sew Much Progress to Share Y’all!!

It has been a busy and productive week for us!  How about you?? Here is the Christmas decor for this year! … I figure until we unearth our Christmas stored in the outside building this will do ✌🏻 I got the sweetest pic of my granddaughter this week… Isn’t Ellie festive?!  And she still enjoys the tent we gifted her for her second Christmas!!!  Now she is 3 1/2 😘 Rick has been steadily working on the side porch revision and making it more sturdy than before to pass inspections AND to hold a family of people as they check out this mountain cabin in late January… more likely February when we are ready to cut ties and sell… so much still to do!  But that will be for later… after the side porch and other outdoor work is done and we have packed away our favorite items! The community we live in is mostly part timers who have a full time home elsewhere… we have loved the quietness of this cabin and hope God has a peaceful home waiting for us! Preparing to sell our cabin & sewing away the days too!

 Are you are resolution maker???! Or a word maker???? Did you do either for 2023... would love to hear your conclusion on which or neither or something different in the comments below.... I love my word... Joyful... and ponder on it while I am sewing. Speaking of sewing... I won some sharp shears by LDH on Sewsweetness.com Sunday night show give away a couple weeks back... They trimmed this bed runner I machine quilted with wavy organic lines too!  It was so smooth and easy to use these new shears too! After I was done with machine quilting.... I sewed the binding to the front.... very little remained of the 5 strips I cut! And took a photo of the front... And the back side... Then sat down to sew down the binding to the back side after trimmed and ready to roll! 80" x 20 " takes a minute to hand sew the binding down.... So it took me a few days and washing and drying occurred above and it is ready to gift... I just have a pillow insert to add to my friends cache of gifts I m

So much to share and HAPPY FEBRUARY!

 I love the month of February... the month of love...  the shortest month throughout the year... And even Ground Hog Day occurs in February :)   What do you think... 6 more weeks or a LIFETIME left to quilt??? For me it is definitely a lifetime of quilting and creating not just 6 weeks!  I hope not as messily as she is making them but making them none the less :D I am ready to share some pics from my sewing room if you would like to see... The corner shelves are cleared out and reorganized... The wall shelves right of my Singer 319 sewing machine are just a display and where I used to organize books and things... those are all packed so decor and fabric is all that remains here... Here is how I organize most anything much less than a fat quarter.... by color as you can see :) And here is the closet that was bulging at the seams and now is nice neat and fairly organized... a peak off to the left with shelves my honey built for me out of this regular closet when we arrived... and to the
